DANNEMORA, N.Y. (WCAX) - On June 6th, 2015, two inmates serving life sentences for murder cut their way out of their cell at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York, kicking off a three-week manhunt that made history.
“The precision of the operation--it was truly extraordinary, and unusual, and almost impossible to duplicate,” Gov. Andrew Cuomo said of the escape.
“I will assure that no stone will be left unturned,” said New York Police Major Charles Guess. “They could be literally anywhere.”
