ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) — A traffic stop near Glenmora led to a significant drug and weapons seizure and the arrest of three individuals, including two Alexandria residents, after deputies uncovered promethazine syrup, oxycodone and a modified firearm, authorities said.

On May 31, a Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office patrol deputy initiated a traffic stop on a northbound vehicle on U.S. Highway 165 for a traffic violation. The vehicle was occupied by Gatloyn O’bryan Blue, 28, and Roydarius Lemar Rachal, 29. During the roadside interview, the deputy developed reasonable suspicion of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle and requested a K-9 unit.
