STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) -- The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation ( DEC) announced on Thursday, June 5th that the DEC is hosting a free family-friendly fishing event at Birdseye Hollow Pond in the Town of Bradford on Thursday, July 10th. There will be DEC officials on hand to teach people to fish who have no experience, and give tips to people who do.
It's designed for people of all ages, and fishing rods and adaptive equipment will be on hand for anyone to use. F ishing licenses are not required to fish during the program.
