A Cole County deputy faces two misdemeanor charges after she allegedly hit another vehicle at a high speed in Jefferson City during a response in 2023.
Mercy Gonzalez allegedly drove through a red light at over 100 mph, with red and blue lights activated, and hit a vehicle in the intersection, according to court documents.
On Dec. 15, 2023, law enforcement was advised that a crash had occurred in Cole County on Missouri 179 at the intersection of West Edgewood Drive.
