(NewsNation) — Mohamed Soliman, the man accused of attacking a crowd of people in Boulder, Colorado, is making another court appearance Thursday.

Soliman is accused of throwing two incendiary devices into a crowd of demonstrators calling for the release of the remaining Israeli hostages in Gaza, which injured 15 people. He told investigators that he planned the attack for more than a year and wanted to kill as many people as possible.

Soliman already faces a federal hate crime charge.

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser told NewsNation that in the state of Colorado's case, Soliman is facing 15 counts of attempted murder and a charge that involves "extreme indifference."

"The actions that were taken were done with extreme indifference to human life and also with a goal," Weiser said.
