Action News 5 CrimeMEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A man has been charged after being involved in a shootout with a two-year-old in the back seat of the vehicle.
On May 18 at 1:58 p.m., MPD responded to a shots fired call on Steele Street off North Watkins Street.
A woman told officers that she was in her residence with her son and her uncle, who was outside on the porch.
According to MPD, gunshots were heard outside as the uncle stated he saw two men standing at the gate across the street from the Corning Village Apartments.
A White Ford Fusion drove by and gunfire was exchanged between the occupants inside the vehicle and the two men before driving away.
RTCC video surveillance was reviewed by MPD on May 21 where the Ford was observed leaving the apartments and heading down Steele Street.
