NORMAN — Oklahoma baseball’s 2025 season came to an end earlier this week with a loss to North Carolina in the winner-take-all finale of the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional.
With a generational talent in Kyson Witherspoon leading its pitching staff, OU would have liked to make a deeper run in the postseason.
Yet, Skip Johnson and company’s first season in the Southeastern Conference should be considered a success. Adjusting to a grueling league that had 13 NCAA Tournament teams, the Sooners went 16-17 against SEC competition.
