FARGO — Job seekers with non-traditional backgrounds had the chance to connect with local employers during the “Fair Chance Job Fair” held Thursday, June 5, in Fargo.
The event was hosted by Career Services and aimed to support individuals facing barriers to employment, including those with criminal records, a lack of education, or experiences with homelessness.
Eighteen businesses participated in the fair, offering potential job opportunities and resources.
“We're kind of the conduit of information,” said Julie Rostberg, a business advisor with North Dakota Job Service. “We reach out to those employers that give those opportunities, and then we reach out to people in the community that are seeking those opportunities.
