Local authorities are advising cabin owners or those living in remote areas in five counties — including King and Snohomish — to beware as law enforcement searches for Travis Decker, the Wenatchee man accused of killing his three young daughters.

Cabin owners and people in remote areas in Chelan, Kittitas, King, Snohomish and Okanogan counties should lock all their doors, including sheds and outbuildings, the Chelan County sheriff’s office said in a news release Thursday morning. “We recommend leaving outside lights on.”

Decker has not been found as of Thursday afternoon, three days after his daughters’ bodies and his pickup truck were found at a campsite 18 miles west of Leavenworth.
