ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - On Candler Road in Decatur, a soul food spot serving chicken and seafood failed its last routine health inspection.

Spanky’s scored 65 points and a “U” for unsatisfactory on May 27. The report says raw eggs were stored next to ready to eat pasta, an employee touched his face and continued to handle food without washing hands and there were six live roaches spotted during the inspection.

“I’m not interested. I’m not interested at all,” Spanky’s owner said.

According to the inspection report, the restaurant’s permit was temporarily suspended due to imminent health hazards like a broken cooler and a severe pest infestation.
