SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Tom Green County Library system is looking a little more colorful this summer with their free reading program starting June 7th.

The theme of this year's program is "Color Our World," which aims to bring reading to life with all kinds of activities. Chelsea Preas is a librarian at the North Branch and said she wants the readers who participate to challenge themselves.

"What we want kids to do and parents as well is decide on a reading goal...what would you like to do every day, whether that is reading in minutes, in chapters, in whole books...what do you think you can do in a day..." Preas said.

All of the branches will be hosting a summer kickoff to this reading program, offering something for everyone. Preas says the kickoff is one way
