ANNAPOLIS, Md. (DC News Now) -- The suspect in the murder of an Annapolis man was arrested Thursday, according to the Annapolis Police Department.

William Hairston, 33, was charged with first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, use of a firearm in a violent crime, and loaded handgun on person.

Police issued a warrant for Hairston in late April for the shooting death of Gregory Wells that occurred on April 23 in the 1300 block of Tyler Ave.

Hairston is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond.
