CLEMSON — Clemson football and coach Dabo Swinney landed their sixth offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of four-star offensive lineman Carter Scruggs .

The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder from Loudoun County High School in Leesburg, Virginia, is rated the No. 7 player in the state and No. 12 interior offensive lineman nationally by the 247Sports Composite rankings. Delaney chose Clemson over Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma and Penn State. He announced his commitment June 5 on On3Sports' YouTube channel.

Scruggs helped Loudoun to an 8-3 record last season and was a state qualifier in shot put. He is Clemson's 18th commitment in the 2026 class. He joins Leo Delaney , Chancellor Barclay , Adam Guthrie , Grant Wise and Braden Wilmes as Clemson's offensive
