Newly hired Georgia basketball assistant coach Todd Abernethy’s annual pay has been released by the school.
The former Florida Atlantic assistant coach will be paid $300,000, according to information obtained Thursday by the Athens Banner-Herlad in an open records request.
Abernethy, who played at Ole Miss when Georgia coach Mike White was an assistant there, replaces Erik Pastrana who was making $375,000 before leaving to join Miami’s staff.
White last week said that Abernethy “was a hell of a point guard at Ole Miss. I don't know if you remember him. Player development. He's an offensive mind. He's got a really good feel there.
