DALLAS — Crews found at least 10 cars in Lake Cliff in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas on Thursday, and it's believed some of the vehicles may have connections to missing persons cases, sources tell WFAA.

Sources tell WFAA that the vehicles were found as part of routine cleaning, which hasn't been done at Lake Cliff in about 10 years.

WFAA chopper footage of the scene Thursday showed crews gathered around an older vehicle on a trailer that appeared to have been pulled from Lake Cliff off Colorado Boulevard, and crews searching in the water.

As of about 5 p.m. Thursday, crews had recovered four vehicles from the water, police say, and the rest will be removed in the coming days. Dallas' new police chief was on the scene of the recovery and said the cleanings are part of a new initia
