WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A 6-month-old baby boy who has been in a Fort Worth hospital fighting for his life since birth with a combination of critical congenital heart defects is thriving as he spends his first weeks home from the hospital.

Jack McFarland, of Robinson, is settling into life at home perfectly since arriving home May 16th, his parents, Brittany and Hunter say.

Jack was just three days shy of his six-month birthday when he came home for the first time.

“To finally be home, I feel complete again,” Brittany said. “My family is back together. Jack is doing so good. He’s so happy. I feel like a normal person again. It’s amazing.”
