LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. — A Lenawee County nonprofit is making a lasting impact by providing critical support to families affected by autism.

Autism Grace of Lenawee , founded in 2020, offers community events, advocacy and resources to empower individuals and families on the autism spectrum.

Autism Grace of Lenawee was co-founded by Megan VanEtten after her youngest child, Alden, was diagnosed with autism just before his second birthday. The experience inspired VanEtten to support other families facing similar challenges.

"You want to do what's best for your kiddo," VanEtten said. "We were inspired by our journey, feeling kind of lonely and intimidated, to try to support other families on an autism journey and trying to navigate that."
