INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating a shooting that critically injured one person Thursday afternoon on Indy's east side.

According to IMPD, shortly after 6 p.m. on June 5, officers responded to 3525 Shadeland Avenue , which is listed online as a Motel 6, on a report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they found one person who had been shot. They are said to be in critical condition.
