Beacon Children’s Hospital recognizes Malachi for his strength and bravery at Four Winds Field

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Four Winds field will have a special celebration Thursday night.

For over a decade, Beacon Children’s Hospital has partnered with the South Bend Cubs to make dreams come true.

Every year, six different kids who have been treated at Beacon Children’s Hospital are given a spotlight at Four Winds Field for their strength and bravery.

And the first kid of the year, is Malachi.

Malachi has grown up around some sporty siblings and has already been to a few South Bend Cubs games, so there’s no doubt he’s excited for Friday.

And Malachi’s story is extra special.
