BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (WNDU) - A group of nearly 40 southwest Michigan students just got done with an immersive learning experience.
They toured multiple states in the south on a Civil Rights Trail Tour. And on Thursday morning, the final stop brought them back home to the Martin Luther King Jr. Monument in Benton Harbor.
The annual Peace Walk began at Benton Harbor High School’s Peace Garden. Community leaders prayed over the group before the march.
School leaders say the march helps prevent violence among kids in the community.
