ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Marietta police are hailing a man as a hero after he helped stop two carjackings on Monday.

At around 9 p.m., officers were called to the Chevron at the intersection of Delk Road and Franklin Gateway. When they arrived, police said the Good Samaritan, 66-year-old Gary Edwards, was holding 32-year-old suspect Rico Riley at gunpoint.

Vine City residents want Georgia Power to reconsider substation project
