MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) -- The death toll in the State of Kentucky is now up to 20 in connection to storms which hit the area on May 16.

Governor Andy Beshear stated the severe weather from May 16-17, has now claimed the life of a man from McCracken County.

Multiple tornadoes hit Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky, causing devastation to homes, infrastructure and lives.

The severe weather caused widespread damage from tornadoes in Scott County, Missouri, and Williamson County, Illinois. It also caused devastation in Morganfield, Kentucky and London, Kentucky, among other areas.

Beshear asks the community to join them in praying for the man's family and all those affected by the storms.
