NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The results are in for a nine-month feasibility study for expanding the Music City Center.

Data collected during the study supports an expansion of the convention center. HVS Convention, Sports & Entertainment — a hospitality and consulting firm — led the study and presented the results to the Convention Center Authority Thursday.

The feasibility study looked at 15 venues in cities across the U.S. — including Austin, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana and Orlando, Florida — and found that the Music City Center was below average in terms of exhibit space. The study showed the lack of space contributed to lost business over the years.
