NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa ( KCRG /Gray News) - A man in Iowa is facing multiple charges after police said he stole and attempted to sell $60,000 worth of medical equipment from a university’s health care campus.

Authorities said 56-year-old Kevin Lane Grimm was taken into custody and booked in the Johnson County Jail on Tuesday.

Grimm was charged with ongoing criminal conduct and theft, along with several other charges.

According to court documents, Grimm is accused of using his job as a contractor to access and take medical construction equipment over a several-month period while the new University of Iowa Health Care campus was being built in North Liberty.
