Sheriff’s homicide detectives Thursday are continuing their investigation of a fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man in Norwalk during an altercation and the suspect is still at large.

Deputies from the Norwalk sheriff’s station responded to Pioneer Boulevard and Los Alisos Circle around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday following a report of a shooting, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

When they arrived at the residence, deputies found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound and Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene.

The victim, identified as Giovanni Bliss Chavez of Norwalk, died on the home’s driveway, according to the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s Office.
