COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A SWAT scene in Cobb County that was active Thursday evening has been cleared, according to police.

The police department said patrol division officers responded to an incident at a home in the 5000 block of Pisgah Road. They later requested for SWAT to also respond to the scene to execute a search warrant.

While the situation unfolded, police asked the public to avoid the area. Officers said the situation was contained and that there was there is no danger to the public. Credit: WXIA

Video and photos from the evening showed police in the area Pisgah and Old Alabama roads.

But in a later update, officers said the Pisgah Road home had been cleared "without significant incident," and that detectives would be working on the case.

No other details were released.
