WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (WMC) - Nine human trafficking victims, including minors, are receiving help after a multi-agency operation in West Memphis last week. Authorities also arrested six suspects.

The coordinated victim recovery program, coined Operation DELTA (Defending Every Life Trafficked in Arkansas), was conducted on Thursday, May 29, by Arkansas State Police and local law enforcement agencies.

In total, authorities identified 38 victims and interacted with nine who they found at an undisclosed location.

All nine were given immediate access to victim services and resources, including medical care and advocacy.

An undisclosed number of these victims were minors, according to ASP, all of whom were taken into protective custody.
