SPIRIT LAKE, N.D. — Imagine walking up on stage to receive your college degree and days later celebrating with your friends as you get your high school diploma as the class valedictorian.
They're still talking about the accomplishments of Braylee Longie, a member of North Dakota's Spirit Lake Tribe from Warwick.
And she also has been busy helping fellow tribal members load fresh water at Fort Totten during a water safety issue.
This is just days after Longie not only earned her degree from the community college in Fort Totten, this young member of the Spirit Lake Tribe also graduated from high school in Warwick. One of nine students. The first tribal member to accomplish the double graduation.
