ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A woman was arrested last month after her German Shepherd escaped from her lawn and nearby killed another dog in front of a Cobb County veterinary hospital, according to court records.
Valeria Vasquez faces a reckless conduct charge. She was arrested on May 18 and released the next day on a $2,420 bond, Cobb County Jail records show.
According to the arrest warrant, Vasquez let her German Shepherd out of the house on May 10. The unleashed dog ran to Fair Oaks Veterinary Hospital, which stands behind her home on Austell Road.
The German Shepherd approached a Pomeranian that was being walked by its owner in front of the vet and ripped its stomach open, the arrest warrant said. Vasquez allegedly ran away from the scene with her dog.
