VIDEO: People mourn sisters killed in Logan County crash
LOGAN COUNTY, Ark. – Arkansas State Police have arrested two people after a multi-vehicle crash in Logan County that killed two sisters last week.
State police said a 16-year-old is facing two counts of manslaughter in connection with the crash.
Police added that 71-year-old Martha Jane Phillips is also facing two counts of manslaughter for her alleged role in furnishing a vehicle to a minor without a driver’s license.
Authorities said the multi-vehicle crash happened on State Highway 109 at the Morrison Bluff Bridge at around 11:15 p.m. on May 30.
According to ASP officials, a Chevrolet Camaro, driven by the 16-year-old, was traveling southbound on Highway 109 at over 150 miles per hour when it rear-ended a Toyota RAV4, driven
