COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado Springs Police Department said almost three pounds of illegal narcotics were found in a USPS package.

Police said they responded to the 4300 block of Montebello Drive, near North Academy and Austin Bluffs, on May 23 to assist Fountain police and the United States Postal Service after USPS reported they had a package that could contain drugs.

When the package was picked up, police said they followed and contacted the suspect.

Police said a K-9 with Fountain police then alerted to the package, and almost three pounds of illegal narcotics were found inside.

Police said a suspect was arrested but have not released the name of that suspect.
