NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — There will soon be a brand new wine bar in historic downtown New Bedford.

Coastal Bubbles + Wine Bar will officially open its doors the public on Saturday, June 7 at 1 p.m.

New Bedford Mayor Jon Mitchell joined owner Tammy and Alan Foshay Thursday for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Johnny Cake Hill wine bar.

"Opening a wine bar has been the subject of many conversations, and to see it finally become a reality is a dream come true," Tammy Foshay said.

Coastal Bubbles + Wine Bar is situated in the recently renovated Selmar Eggers Building. It will boast a "unique selection of champagne and wine in a relaxed atmosphere," as well as an elevated outdoor deck overlooking Union Street.
