BANGOR, Maine — Three people were arrested Thursday after Bangor police raided a Birch Street home and seized drugs, a loaded gun, and a large amount of cash.

Officers say the search was part of a drug investigation. During the raid, they found methamphetamine, fentanyl, and crack cocaine inside the house.

Police also recovered a loaded handgun and what they believe was drug money.

Nikolas Raines, 33, of Bangor, is facing several charges, including unlawful drug possession, falsifying evidence, and having a firearm while using drugs. Police say he was already on federal probation for drug and gun convictions.

Hailey Sawyer, 28, of Bangor, was charged with drug possession, violating bail, and being a prohibited person with a firearm.
