Coco Gauff is headed to the French Open final, and she's clearly ecstatic about it. She showed as much following her win over Lois Boisson in the semifinal on Thursday
The 21-year-old, who finished as runner-up in the 2022 French Open, made easy work of Boisson in their showdown. Gauff needed just one hour and nine minutes to take down her French opponent, winning in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2.
Boisson made history as the first woman in 35 years to reach the semifinals at her first Grand Slam tournament. The World No. 361 was also the first Frenchwoman to make it to the French Open semifinals since Marion Bartoli did so in 2011.
Unfortunately for Boisson, Gauff was just far superior in every aspect during the match, with the American star never trailing in the contest.
