HAMPTON, N.H. —

No one was hurt after shots were fired near Hampton Beach on Thursday, police told News 9.

The shots fired happened near Ocean Blvd. and G Street, Chief Alex Reno told News 9.

Police quickly responded and a person matching a description was taken into custody. The gun believed to have been involved was located too.

Police got help from partnering law enforcement agencies, according to Reno.

The incident is under investigation. Evidence is being collected and witnesses are being interviewed, police said.
