BILLINGS — Billings Mustangs catcher Dylan Leach has departed the Magic City to report to the Toronto Blue Jays organization.

The Mustangs announced on social media on Wednesday that Leach’s contract had been purchased by the Blue Jays.

The 22-year-old Leach, who is from Carthage, Texas, returned to the Mustangs this spring for a second season with the club after batting .302 with eight homers, 19 RBIs, 32 runs, and throwing out 11-of-25 runners attempting to steal in 39 games last year per statistics found on his player profile page on the Mustangs’ website. This year, Leach batted .386 in 12 games and 44 at-bats for the Mustangs per his player profile page on baseballreference.com. He homered three times, drove in 13 runners, and doubled seven times.
