CORVALLIS, Ore. (KPTV) - Thurston High School junior Brooklyn Anderson won gold this past weekend in the Oregon State Track and Field Championships for the 100-meter hurdles, literally tumbling her way to the state title.
“At first, it was overwhelming, but now it’s just really cool just to see. That I’ve gotten the attention of so many people,” said Brooklyn.
Three medals and over $400 million views thanks to her wild finish during the 100-meter hurdles.
She said that even before the race started, she knew the race was going to be anything but business as usual.
“I was feeling a little nervous because the winds were really high and all of our hair was just blowing, and just everything was shaking from the wind,” said Brooklyn. “I actually had to move my blocks back an inch than I norm
