MINNEAPOLIS — “It’s another blow.”

Immigrant communities in Minnesota feel like they’re constantly being targeted. Wednesday President Donald Trump announced a travel ban on citizens of a dozen countries from visiting the United States, and citizens from seven other countries would face restrictions.

One of the countries included in the ban is Afghanistan, which wasn’t surprising to the Afghan Cultural Society Executive Director Nasreen Sajady.

“It still crushed me. My heart just broke, and I felt paralyzed even though I knew it was coming. I just couldn’t stop thinking about all the people I love that I’ve built a community with are now going to be separated even longer from their families,” she said.
