OKLAHOMA CITY — One of the biggest stars in Texas Tech athletics history is on hand tonight to see the softball team take on Texas in the Women's College World Series finals.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has made an appearance at Devon Park alongside his wife Brittany to see the Red Raiders take on the Longhorns in Game 2 of the championship series. Fans spotted Mahomes in the upper level of the stadium about half an hour before the game.

Earlier this week, Mahomes sent the Texas Tech softball team new gear for their stay in Oklahoma City , including letter jackets the team sported on their walk to the bus. Texas Tech athletics teamed up with adidas and Mahomes' personal Gladiator brand last July.
