LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department on Thursday announced the closure of a popular Lincoln trail.
Starting June 12, the First Street Trail along the Oak Street Bridge on North First Street will be closed to all traffic for bridge repairs.
The trail is expected to reopen on June 14, using a temporary pedestrian connection until the bridge work is complete sometime this summer.
The bridge is already closed to vehicle traffic.
