SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — A dramatic high-speed chase through Snohomish County ended with two 31-year-old men in custody after gunfire erupted during the pursuit.
The incident, captured on a deputy's body camera, began as a routine traffic stop for reckless driving by Monroe police around 10 p.m. on Highway 2. The suspects initially evaded capture, but a Snohomish County Sheriff's deputy soon spotted the vehicle swerving into oncoming traffic.
Body camera footage revealed the tense moments when one of the suspects fired at the pursuing deputy. "He's shooting at me, the passenger just shot out the door," the deputy reported during the chase, which reached speeds of up to 100 mph.
