BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A Birmingham man has been arrested in connection to a stabbing that happened Tuesday, June 3.

Police say they were called to the 1000 block of Circle Street in the Dolomite neighborhood at 7:45 p.m. June 3 on reports of a person stabbed.

When officers arrived to the address, they learned that the victim had been taken to the Hueytown Fire Department by private vehicle.

The fire department notified Birmingham Police that the victim was indeed at the fire station before taking the victim to UAB Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

After talking with witnesses on scene, police say they identified 25-year-old Nakia Wayne Douglas as the suspect and later found him walking in the Dolomite neighborhood.
