SWAT on scene of barricaded suspect in Superior: Sheriff's Office

DENVER (KDVR) -- Law enforcement officials are on the scene where a suspect is barricaded in an apartment complex Thursday evening in Superior.

Around 6:15 p.m., the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said a suspect was barricaded "inside an apartment and has been contained."

The suspect was barricaded in Building 30 of the Bell Flatirons apartment complex and a mandatory shelter-in-place was issued for residents of the building.

SWAT team members from the sheriff’s office, Boulder Police Department and Longmont Public Safety were working to resolve the situation safely, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office asked the public to avoid the area where law enforcement are working to manage the ongoing incident.
