On Tuesday around 12:30pm, Lloyd Police responded to a report of a missing 65-year-old woman in the Highland area, specifically near a residence on Hawley’s Corners Road. The woman had been unaccounted for for over an hour and was believed to be somewhere in a nearby wooded area.
In response, Lloyd Police requested support from the New York State Police Drone Unit, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Department Drone Unit, and Ulster County K9 Units to aid in the search. After several hours of coordinated efforts, Deputy Lyman and K9 Rico located the woman around 3:30pm, approximately three-quarters of a mile into the wooded terrain.
