TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - Temple College is about to embark on its most ambitious transformation in a century. This summer, five iconic buildings across campus will be coming down.
Among them? A building that has stood since the very beginning.
Starting next week, demolition crews will begin tearing down five structures at Temple College including the old Visual Arts Center, the Barron Student Success Center, the Math and Biomedical Science building, the maintenance building, and Berry Hall, the very first building to exist on campus.
“It’s a rich part of Temple College history, it was Temple College’s very first building,” says president of the college, Christy Ponce.
The focus now? The future. Ponce gave us a first look at the future campus and it’s nothing short of transformational.
