TROY — As the Saratoga Central Catholic baseball team lined up for postgame handshakes, Britney Spears’ “... Baby One More Time” came blaring over the loudspeakers. It only played for a short moment, but long enough for everyone at Joe Bruno Stadium to hear Spears’ vintage, yet probably overused phrase, "Hit me baby one more time."

The music choice was a fitting tribute to what had just unfolded.
