SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii (Island News) -- When the Schofield soldier pled guilty to brutally killing his pregnant wife and unborn child last July, he also admitted to a plethora of other charges involved in the cover up and the missing persons search.

Before Dewayne Johnson II was handed his 23-year prison sentence on June 5, 2025, he testified at the Wheeler Army Courthouse on June 3 about every charge he was being tried for. He killed Mischa Johnson and her unborn child Armani with a machete on July 12, 2024. He faced charges for desecrating and disposing of the body and an unborn child for striking her in the temple, then dismembering her with a chainsaw.
