GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - The fate of the infamous Green Bay coal piles has been decided upon.
The Brown County Board of Supervisors met for an official vote at the Brown County Central Library on Thursday night, following a tentative agreement reached between officials and the C. Reiss Company on Tuesday evening.
The official vote passed the agreement, meaning that the longtime dilemma over the coal piles seemingly has found a solution.
The agreement and vote mean that the coal piles will be relocated to the former Pulliam Power Plant site from their current space along the Fox River by the Mason Street Bridge.
The original deadline for negotiations was in the evening on May 30; however, the deadline was extended by the state to June 3 at 5 p.m. because of the progress that had been ma
