LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The latest report from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority revealed the tourism slump continues in Las Vegas. Visitors were down just over 5% in April, compared to the same time last year. Rideshare drivers in the valley told 8 News Now it is affecting their business.

“You can tell this city is not pulsing the way it used to,” Uber driver Valentino Xhakli said. “It started January, mid-February, and it's been slow ever since.”

Xhakli will be moving to California this weekend, as it’s no longer worth it for him to stay in Las Vegas.

“I've been doing an experiment throughout the month, so I've been during the days and nights going full throttle,” he said. “I put in more hours, and make less.”
