AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Market in the Alley over in Aiken drew quite a crowd Thursday night.

There were vendors and live music; guests from Aiken and around the area were all enjoying the outdoors.

Everything, including restaurants, is around the area.

We heard from a tourism supervisor about what the market does for Aiken and for anyone considering heading out there in the future.

“The safe thing about coming to the alley is that it’s very safe and you can walk, you park your car and walk to 10 to 15 venues here. And this is a great atmosphere to have for a community the size of 18, it’s just unbelievable that we have this for tourism,” said Pete Peters, city of Aiken tourism department.

The Market in the Alley is every Thursday throughout the summer into October.
